A future Forge Modules framework is being explored so optional games, tools, overlays and specialist integrations can evolve independently without rebuilding the Stream Forge core for every experiment.

Is Stream Forge free?
Yes. Stream Forge is free software. There are no required subscriptions or paid feature tiers. Ko-fi support is completely optional.
Does Stream Forge replace OBS, PRISM or Streamlabs?
No. Stream Forge is the control, logic and automation layer. Your broadcast software remains responsible for video production and broadcast output.
Does PRISM Live Studio really work?
Yes. PRISM support uses Stream Forge's existing OBS-compatible WebSocket engine and has been tested with setup, scene switching, music, alerts, redeems, song requests, reconnect behaviour and Auto End.
Why do I have to check Browser Source audio manually?
OBS and PRISM do not always preserve or expose Browser Source audio exactly as expected through automated setup. For sound-producing Stream Forge sources, enable Control audio via OBS, confirm the source appears in the mixer and run an Unlisted viewer-side test.
Can I delete an old installer after updating?
Yes. Once the newer version is installed and opens correctly, the older downloaded installer .exe can be deleted. Your Stream Forge settings and local data are stored separately.
Where do I download updates?
Use the public GitHub Releases page or Stream Forge's built-in update check. Mission Control can also notify you when a newer public version is available.
